RWA 2013

I'm heading off to RWA Nationals in Atlanta in less than two weeks. Haven't been to a writers conference since I attended RWA Nationals in San Francisco about five years ago. Had a great time then and am hoping to have a great time and learn a lot this year as well. I'll only be there for two of the three days (missing Friday to pick my daughter up from camp one state over).

Anyone else heading to RWA Nationals or any other writers conferences this year?

    I went to BEA, which was amazing. I have a local writers Book Expo this month, too.

New Year's Blog Hop

I always find the beginning of a new year kinda funny. As a mom, I tend to focus more on September as being the start of a new year. That's when our new schedule grabs hold and the rest of my year is mapped out. But you can't help but look over the previous calendar year when New Years comes along. Not with everyone talking about it. I don't do resolutions. Mostly because I don't keep them. Goals are better for me, but even with goals I tend to have this anti-goal thing going inside me. I start to feel constrained and start doing whatever I can to not achieve the goal. Yet, I was very goal oriented in my youth. I competed heavily in horses in my teens and I loved TRAINING toward a show (the goal being to do well at the show).
