Secrets of Hallstead House By: Amy M. Reade Kensington Q&A with Amy M. Reade What was the spark or initial idea that started your book? I was attending a three-night writing workshop at a local library and the assignment for the second night was to come up with an idea for a story. I decided first that I wanted to write a story about a nurse (I don’t know what made me pick a nurse!). She had to have a mystery to solve and a love interest along the way. In my head, all the action took place in the Thousand Islands of New York State, so there was never any question about the setting. And that’s how Secrets of Hallstead House was born. What was your favorite part of writing this book?
