Guest Post: Secrets of the Sky with Jaye Shields

My latest book in the Immortals in Alameda series, Secrets of the Sky , is centered around one of my favorite characters, Sparrow Reed. If you don’t know already (and haven’t read Secrets of the Fog ) Sparrow has a back full of tattoos. Each tattoo is of a bird because her family (a coven of wiccans) gifted her with an enchantment when she was born with the ability to take the form of any bird tattoo she accrues. Her very first came upon her birth, a magical marking of a Sparrow, which was how she got her name. Sparrow loves to fly and so do I. I thought I’d share a little bit of what we have in common. Well, first of all, I’ll admit that as of this moment, I have zero tattoos. It’s just never worked out. What we do have in common, is that I spend hours flying.
