Six Sentence Sunday: Mafia Secret

Mafia Secret is a romantic suspense novel about a cheerleading coach who is thrust into the dangerous world of organized crime when she learns she’s the illegitimate daughter of a mafia king pin.

Feet suddenly appeared in front of her and she froze.

“You okay?” The male voice was familiar, but instincts took over and she backpedaled until his face came into view.

He was one of the football players for the Orlando Manatees and had been waiting for his sister, Lily Donato, to finish cheerleading practice. A breath shuddered out of Lessa’s gaping mouth as he crouched down next to her.

She nodded slowly and rolled to a sitting position to assess her body for any injuries.

New Year's Blog Hop

I always find the beginning of a new year kinda funny. As a mom, I tend to focus more on September as being the start of a new year. That's when our new schedule grabs hold and the rest of my year is mapped out. But you can't help but look over the previous calendar year when New Years comes along. Not with everyone talking about it. I don't do resolutions. Mostly because I don't keep them. Goals are better for me, but even with goals I tend to have this anti-goal thing going inside me. I start to feel constrained and start doing whatever I can to not achieve the goal. Yet, I was very goal oriented in my youth. I competed heavily in horses in my teens and I loved TRAINING toward a show (the goal being to do well at the show).
