Whitelighter is a steamy paranormal romance novella about a witch whose special powers make her a target to any vampire who catches sight of her. This scene features Reyes and Lily with Reyes talking about his ability to see auras.

“You see people for who they really are. I wouldn’t call that useless.”

He shrugged, his eyes straying away for a moment before catching her gaze again. “It might be helpful, but it isn’t useful when the **** hits the fan.”

New Year's Blog Hop

I always find the beginning of a new year kinda funny. As a mom, I tend to focus more on September as being the start of a new year. That's when our new schedule grabs hold and the rest of my year is mapped out. But you can't help but look over the previous calendar year when New Years comes along. Not with everyone talking about it. I don't do resolutions. Mostly because I don't keep them. Goals are better for me, but even with goals I tend to have this anti-goal thing going inside me. I start to feel constrained and start doing whatever I can to not achieve the goal. Yet, I was very goal oriented in my youth. I competed heavily in horses in my teens and I loved TRAINING toward a show (the goal being to do well at the show).
